Sunday was the 230th Anniversary of the US Constitution, and it has reminded us that we need to fully grasp the heritage we have inherited. It is 2017, and so many already do. Congress is constantly flooded with emails, letters, and faxes regarding activist issues that many believe need to be brought up. Like our ancestors, we are worried about our government dominating individuals, and taking our rights from us.
Our Founding Fathers faced the same issue, so they did something about it. They had to live through the pain and triumph of the Revolutionary War, and then got the chance to watch our nation grow. Their goal was to bind the states with one national government. They did this by using checks and balances, so there weren't any issues regarding abuse of power. I'd say for the most part, they got their wish, but they would probably agree with me if I said the ones holding current positions in office suck.
