On a normal Sunday. four students from Boston college were attacked with acid. The four students were all women and early twenties. Two of them were rushed to the hospital while the others were just in shock. The women were in France studying abroad when they got attacked. In the hospital they treated their burns and later was released. Since then they have been in touch with their families. The attacker was a woman (41) who was mentally unstable, she was arrested and hospitalized. It is now stated that the attack wasn`t a terror attack the women is unstable and did`nt know what she was doing. It`s really scary to go out into the world. yes I know the attacker was unstable but on normal day anything can happen and you need to be aware of everything. Not every person is bad and intend to hurt you but in some cases they do and it`s very sad.
An Iranian women was attacked with acid from a man who she rejected his proposal. This women was left blind and disfigured. Instead of compensation or a sentence, she asked the court to inject acid in the eyes of the man and the court allowed it. Police and researchers are stating that acid attacks are common all through Europe. It is a "weapon of choice", and have occurred recently in the united states. Toxic substances even drain cleaner is being used more rather then guns.

You can never judge a person just on their looks or actions...it is a sin. In my opinion we need to love each other just as Jesus intended us to it is our duty as Jesu's deciples.
ReplyDeleteSo uncalled for that acid is being used as a dangerous weapon now... In both of the cases you mentioned the acid was so unnecessarily dangerous. It is scary to think that just going out can provoke these events.
ReplyDeleteIt frightens me that acid which can be used as a harmful or even deathly weapon seems to be easily accesible. Unlike guns were there can be restrictions and limiations on ownership of the weapon, acid can be found easily whether its in batteries or even made at home. This makes resolving the issue of reoccuring acid attacks alot harder because there is no way to restrict ownership of the product makeing it an easy go to weapon for mentally unstable individuals.
