Polls have shown that a majority of Americans supprot protections for young immigrants for that were brought to the U.S. illegaly as children. (DACA)

“I think DACA recipients should be given a few months to get their affairs in order and return to their home countries,” said Ms. Sterry, 58, a former math teacher, referring to the Obama-era program, Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, that President Trump has ended but which could be revived or replaced in a congressional deal.
And to those who contend that the young immigrants would be marooned in a country they do not remember, Ms. Sterry says: “Parents and children can all go home together.”

I feel that this is completely unfair! It's not fair to take a person away from everything he/she knows and force him/her to completely start over. Trump (surprisingly) expressed support for granting a path to citizenship to DACA recipitents this past Wednesday. However, he said that he understands why some people may not agree. Some people who oppose DACA worry that legalizing Dreamers would lead to other immigrant families bringing their children to the U.S. (in hopes of their children being granted legal status) Immigrants (including Dreamers) contribute greatly to the U.S. economy. Why would we kick out someone who is helping us out? This whole situation seems very pointless to me. In my opinion, it is very evident that the Dreamers should not be kicked out of the U.S.
