The Common Cause has lodged complaints alleging that a reported hush payment for a porn star to stay quiet about an alleged affair with Donald Trump in 2006. Stephanie Clifford, better known as Stormy Daniels, was an illegal in-kind campaign contribution. A $130,000 payment from a limited liability company to Clifford was indeed an unreported contribution to Trump's campaign. Trumps attorney Michael Cohen had formed a private LLC and paid Clifford $130,000 through the LLC weeks before the 2016 election so she would not go public with her story about an alleged sexual encounter in 2006 with Trump.
To me I believe that Stormy Daniels is just doing this for publicity perhaps as a way to make her career soar. If she was paid $130,000 to just keep her mouth shut then why else would she now be leaking this news 12 years later? Another conclusion could be that she has still been seeing Trump and since the Women's March is going on she has the courage to speak up. Just like the other women explaining their sexual interactions Stormy Daniels has a voice. In the public eye women have the upper man since men are preying on helpless women. I don't believe this was a coincidence that Daniels spoke up suddenly 12 years later.
