Today the senate didn’t hit pass the law that made have an abortion a after 20 weeks illegal and making whoever performed the procedure serve up to five years in prison. Thought the final tally was 51-46 , which means they were awfully close to passing this law. Many republicans are still fighting for their beliefs
I am 100% pro choice so my opinion on this topic is greatly biased. I think that this is a scary topic. To deny a woman a right that you once gave them is scary. There a countless reason why a woman may need an abortion at 20 weeks and for men who don’t have to carry the baby they sure have a lot to say about the topic. I just think that they need to put themselves in the shoes of the women carrying the baby and go through all the scenarios that would make them want to get an abortion in the first place. Many people are quick to make a judgment just based on the cover. Though they do not know any real details about the situation. This is important to history because this determines some of the rights that us women have.
