Lilly Anthony- Police: "No appearance of braking" in deadly bus crash

Summary: On Sunday in Palm Springs, California a tour bus crashed into the rear of a tractor trailer killing the driver, 12 passengers and injuring many others. After looking over the accident, there seemed to be no skid marks on the scene, so therefore there was also no sign of braking from the bus. Also, the bus did not have seat belts, which most don't anyways, but this was also the only bus this company operated. Luckily all the names of the victims were found and announced to the public. As of right now, the National Transportation Safety Board is reviewing the accident in hopes of finding a cause. Research showed that inspection of the bus this year had no issues of mechanical problems, but they did learn seconds before the accident, the bus was driving significantly faster than the trailer. Most people on the bus were asleep at the time of the accident, but those who survived are in just as much shock as the rest of America.

Analysis: This article was written the day after the accident occurred which is significant to the urgency of informing the public. Breaking news on TV shared of the accident immediately, but this article backed up what had already been said in addition to some more specific details of what took place. The main idea was to inform the public on recent breaking news, in hopes of clearing up some of what was heard. Hopefully this reached out to people who had questions or had any concerns. The French terrorist attack of 1976 where 29 kids were held captive on a bus synthesizes to this accident because in both events, a bus captivated the lives of many who died.
