Netflix increasing subscription prices: Joan Milburn pd. 1

Netflix announced that it plans on raising the subscription prices for new members by one or two dollars a month soon, while current member will continue at the same rate.

I think this is kind of unfair actually. Just because a person joins later doesn't mean they should have to pay more. I know that netflix is indeed a business and they need a way to regulate revenue but i feel like this is somewhat of an unfair penalty.

  1. I think they're just trying to reward loyal patrons. This could all be a clever gimmick, actually. Maybe they'll lower your prices after you've been subscribed for a certain amount of time to lure people into using Netflix for the rest of their natural lives, which I was planning on doing anyway.

  2. That is quit unfair but with growing popularity they could be looking for more income and such, plus a dollar more for a new member wont be too dramatically more for the buying but could raise profits immensely.
