Clippers Let Actions Show Anger Over Owner's Alleged Remarks - Camille Vigil

On Saturday, a tape surfaced alleging that LA Clippers owner Donald Sterling made racist remarks in a phone call with his supposed mistress. To clarify, it has not been determined for certain if the recording is Sterling's voice or not, but it has been determined that the woman's voice is actually that of his mistress. It has been theorized that the mistress decided to release the tape in revenge after Sterling's wife sued the mistress for allegedly conning Sterling out of $1.8 million dollars. However, Sterling had intentionally bought the mistress a million dollar home and expensive cars.
At today's (Sunday) game the clippers made their game appearance for pregame drills wearing their red clippers shirts inside out in order to hide the team's logo and threw to the ground their warmup jerseys before the drills in protest of the owner's remarks.
To me, this whole situation is very weird. Everything doesn't seem to add up. It just seems like too much going on at once, but if it actually is the owner's voice, I think it would be the best decision for him to step down from being the owner and sell the team to someone else. The owner of any sports franchise really can't be someone who is hated, it just doesn't work. The owner is the figurehead that everyone looks to as being responsible for the team, and the owner generates a large portion of the likeability of a team. I see no way of recovering from a scandal like this. Most of all though, this man is complete fool for saying something so racist - he basically said that he didn't want his mistress advertising that she had black friends, along with other similar comments - because of the fact that the Clippers team is mostly black!! His statements are a complete contradiction of his role in the team and as I said before this all doesn't seem to add up to me.
