Boy Flies To Hawaii In Plane's Wheel Well Ilana Lemack

United States officials say a 16-year-old boy is "lucky to be alive" and unharmed after flying from California to Hawaii stowed away in a plane's wheel well, surviving cold temperatures at 38,000 feet and a lack of oxygen. FBI told reporters that the boy said that he doesn't even remember the flight. The boy from Santa Clara, California, hopped a fence to get to Hawaiian Airlines Flight 45 on Sunday morning. The boy scaled the fence under the cover of darkness and remained undetected as he crossed the airport ramp. San Jose police say they will be reviewing whether charges are warranted against the boy. The child had run away from his family after an argument. It is said that the boy was unconscious for most of the 5.5 hour flight.

I saw this on the news and was wowed so i had to look it up and do a current event on it. this was an amazing story and i honestly dont think that the boy should be charged, he was just having a rough night. and to be fair he did not know that the plane was going to be taking off, let alone taking off for a 5.5 hour flight to hawaii.

  1. It's insane that security doesn't check places like that before the flight begins
