3 dead, 11 injured in shooting in France-Grecia Jimenez

On December 11, a shooting classified as a terrorist attack occurred in Strasbourg, France near a christmas market. Of the 11 wounded, five people were critically injured, according to the local prefecture. Members of the French military confronted the suspect between 8:20 p.m. and 9 p.m., using their weapons twice in an attempt to intercept him, Castaner said.
Although the intentions of the gunman are unknown, it is evident that he was there to kill and hurt people. Even if only three people died, that is three too many. People no longer feel safe sending their children to school or go out to do their holiday shopping. Schools in that area of France remained open, but parents had the option of keeping their kids home due to the alert for terrorism.
This situation can be compared with the multiple attacks made during the civil war on either side and the fear to be killed in the crossfire

  1. I definitely agree. Although it may seem small by our current standards, 3 is still too many

  2. This is terrible news. It is so sad to hear that people are scared for their lives to go out and do everyday activities. I hope everyone, not only in Paris but the world, mourns the tragic loss and recovers from this frightening event. Lily Philips

  4. The fact that a shooting like this in modern day society has just become the norm is appalling. Even when I first read the title I wasn't even affected at all it's become so normalized. We need to put an end to international gun violence, and soon.
