American Muslims Alexis Williams

          With a lot of problems with terrorism in the world, Muslims are facing a lot of discrimination. Many people have stereotyped Muslims to be terrorists and it has greatly affected their lives very much.CNN interviewed different Muslims in American and asked them about their lives. Alia Sharrief is an African American Muslim who receives discrimination fro not only being Muslim but for being African American AND a woman.
         This connects with the 9/11 attack that really started the stereotype of Muslims being terrorists. Not to mention the attack on Paris that played on peoples fears even more and now has everyone on edge about Muslims. This connects with the discrimination against African Americans as well in the 60s and also now. With all the police brutality going on and death in the black community, many people are on edge about police and racism and the justice system.
