An Indiana woman who went missing after surrendering custody of her kids more than 40 years found alive Texas. Lula Ann Gillespie-Miller, gave authorities permission to pass along her contact information to her now-grown daughter after investigators found her living in rural Texas Thursday, Indiana State Police said in a statement. Officials are not releasing where she lives in Texas but she is alive, well, and very happy. Indiana trooper Scott Jarvis tracked down the missing woman this week. “Gillespie-Miller could offer no explanation as to why she left her Indiana life behind in 1974,” police said in a statement. Gillespie- Miller says that she is going to come in contact with her daughter this week. This is so significant because throughout history crime rates have risen and kidnapping has become more abundant due to technology and online predators as oppose to the 1970's.

  3. I do not feel very sympathetic towards Gillespie-Miller. She just abandoned her daughter. Now imagine how that girl must feel now that her mom has just walked back into her life again. I hope that everything works out for them but I don't understand what the mom wants by talking to the daughter now after so many years.
