Religious Liberty Bill // Kai Jones 1st period

Georgia Governor, Nathan Deal, announced that he will veto the 'Religious Liberty Bill'. The bill would have hurt the rights of those in the LGBT community by allowing faith-based organizations to deny jobs and service to them. Though the governor ha chosen to veto this bill, a Georgia legislator has called for a special session in an attempt to override the veto.
All in this article.

With the recent decision by the supreme court to legalize same-sex marriage in all states, many states are trying to find any possible way to discriminate. This is a very great decision made by the governor because it has shot down yet another attempt to hurt the LGBT community. We have come such a long way. Don't let it stop here.

  1. Matthew Homsher 9th- Faith based organizations should be supporting the LGBT community, not discriminating against them.
