Women for Trump: Supporters stand firm despite outbursts By sGregory Krieg and Martin Edwards (Zoe Roberts, 3rd Period)

Summary--A CNN poll showed that 3 to 4 women hold a favorable view of the Republican Front runner Donald Trump. A band of well educated mormon women, led by Eileen Edgar, refer to themselves as, "The Group" and are fiercely loyal Trump supporters. Members of, "The Group" told CNN that they support Trump despite his comments about women because he is the only candidate who is truly transparent, who loves his country more than anyone and who actually does respect women. When asked about the recent twitter fight between Trump and Cruz the women agreed that candidates should be sticking to the real issues at hand, but all blamed Cruz for the fight. Whatever the slander the women vowed to stay with Trump due to his "personality".

Analysis--This is a lot like the reaction to the feminist movements of the sixties. While many women came together to fight what they perceived as sexism and injustice, other women fought against them. As women came together to fight for gender equality and an end to sexism, women also came together to fight to keep women in the kitchen and with the children. Throughout history, to every movement of women against the patriarchy there is also a movement of women for the patriarchy.

  1. A president should not be elected for his personality, but rather his character.
