Case Cockrell- 8/30 Obama to rename Peak in Alaska.

http://www.cnn.com/2015/08/30/politics/obama-alaska-denali-climate-change/index.html

In Barack Obama's recent visit to Anchorage, AK, Obama's first step was to rename the tallest peak, Mt. Mckinley, to Denali. This is a historic nod to the location's native population. Obama became the first president to visit the Arctic. He was there to address the climate change, which was making the environment impossible for fishing and hunting. This made people of Alaska unable to get food, and this issue needed to be addressed by The Federal Government. Obama has helped Alaska prepare for more effects of Global Warming and will try his best to help the people through the situation

I think Obama is doing a good thing by helping the people of this area. For some people, hunting is the only way to get food, and if there is no way to hunt, they will go hungry and families will starve. Some also make a living off hunting, so this could affect jobs as well. Obama cannot stop global warming, but he can certainly do his best to help people.

  1. The new name for the peak I believe is an old tribal name for strength or something like that!
