Most men think that they are way better at math than girls. Men think they are good at so many things such as football, baseball or soccer. Girls can do whatever they want to, such as playing football or soccer. Almost all men think that woman are weak and don’t know anything and make bad grades in school. That’s not true! Because now women are starting to show them wrong by making good grades and playing football.

ReplyDeleteI think it's great that women are finally accepting that they can and should do anything they want to do, even if it means overcoming stereotypes and gender inequalities.

Its great seeing that in recent generations, more and more girls are standing up to social norms by doing things typically considered more masculine. Hopefully with this continuing we will eventually terminate expectations solely based off of gender.
ReplyDeleteI love your final sentence, as gender has been the cause of so many historical events, many of which are negative. The concept of gender is so strange, and society has based so many irrelevant things off of it, like what sports people should play or what clothes they should wear. Gender norms just put people in to boxes, and throughout history, have erased women. This article gives me a lot more faith in our future- no longer will women hide their passions and talents out of fear or shame.
DeleteIts amazing to see that women are taking part in the more "masculine" social norms. Women have had a history of being set back by men and didn't even get the right to vote until 1920.

ReplyDeleteI agree with everybody else in saying that women should break out of shells and do anything they want, but when things don't go the way you want them to go gals, don't use your gender as an excuse, because that would just be contradicting everything you spoke out for, when it comes to gender equality. - Kadar Price
