Protest held after priest burns LGBTQ flag outside Avondale church in ‘exorcism’ ceremony

Summary: A protest was held outside the church Avondale after a priest burned an LGBTQ flag, against Cardinal Blase Cupich wishes. Rev. Paul Kalchik burned the flag because it did not "sit well" with him as well as trying to discourage Catholic Church sex abuse.
Analysis: This article sheds a light on all the crazy that happens in the world. My thought while reading this article is "what does being gay have to do with catholic church sex abuse?" It comes to show that the church had more initial problems that what's stated. This brings back to colonies wanting religious freedom (like Catholics) only to get shut down/hated on by basically any other religion in the colonies.

  1. That’s disrespectful of this priest to do this. I think that even if he doesn’t personally agree with people being gay he shouldn’t make a public display of his emotions, or at least not in the way he did.
