What will happen next with the Russian Investigation

There are rumors that President Trump will fire Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein this week, potentially Thursday.  Rosenstein is currently overseeing special counsel Robert Muller and the investigation into Russian interference of the 2016 election.  While this responsibility normally falls to the Attorney General Jeff Session, this job was placed in Rosenstein's hands as Sessions had to recuse himself after the controversial meeting with the Russian ambassador.

While this is not the first individual Trump has fired on his executive team, this dismissal will further delay the Muller investigation as many do not like the individual next in line.  The Justice Department says the next man in succession would be Solicitor General Noel Francisco, a Trump appointee. In addition, Trump's lawyers have requested a "time out" should Rosenstein quit or be fired. Will we ever get to the bottom of this issue?
