Veteran who served in Afghanistan deported-Sophie Sandoval

Michael Perez Jr. a former U.S. veteran has been deported back to Mexico. Perez has served two tours in Afghanistan. However, in 2010 was sentenced to 15 years in prison and his green card was taken away. due to a drug issue. He had been in the custody of ICE since 2016. Perez said his service in Afghanistan led him to the abuse of drugs and alcohol. Perez was 8 years old when he came to the U.S. and is now 39 years old. Perez stated to the public that they are going on a hunger strike. However, he is not contemplating suicide.

This situation is very similar to when during the Great War, illegals were brought back from their home country to help fight the war and then sent back. This also isn't right in my opinion. This man serve out country and no matter what he is still a veteran and deserves the respect and love that any other American veteran needs.
