Current Event-Ellen Whitehead

On March 25, a huge fire occurred at a Russian shopping center mall. Fire alarms were turned off and fire exits were blocked, causing 64 deaths. The article includes an Instagram post with footage and a story of one of the survivors. The video shows just how chaotic and rushed everyone was to get out of the building in order to reach the single exit of the four story building. Of this mall, 1600 square meters were caught on fire. It is so sad that 64 lives were lost because of violations of the mall such as not opening all the exits and disabling the fire alarms. Hopefully the authorities can get to the cause of this tragedy.
