US government is officially investigating Facebook. Facebook stock fell so as much as 5% in early trading Monday, pushing the share price below $150 for the first time since July.  The FTC sent a letter to Facebook with questions about how to social media company allowed to the data to wind up in the hands of Trump campaign consultants.  Facebook‘s deputy chief privacy officer,  Rob Sherman,  said that Facebook remain strongly committed to protecting peoples information.  The FTC serve a complaint against Facebook in 2011 for falling short of privacy promises to their users.  They also found out that the app allows third-party applications to access  users information.

I find this very unsafe that  Facebook isnt as safe as we think it is.  This relates to US history  because somehow Facebook is linked to Trump during his campaign and possibly gave him information about users.  This could get very controversial and I hope Facebook protects our information better.

  1. I think everyone needs to be very careful when they share their information on the internet. Nothing should be posted that you don't want to be heard.
