Maryland school shooter was shot by his own bullet- Isabella Hambleton

On March 20, 17 yr old Austin Wyatt Rollins killed one student and injured another in a shooting at a Maryland high school. Rollins was then shot as well. At first they believed that Officer Blaine Gaskill, who fired a shot at Rollins to try and stop him, had ended up shooting him and killing him. They have now confirmed that Rollins had actually been struck by his own bullet when he shot himself in the head. The officer's gun had actually shot Rollins gun, which was in his hand. Officer Gaskill was able to stop the shooter from going any further and could possibly have saved many lives.
This article is just another to add to the many piles of high school shooting articles there are. There have been way too may high school shootings and it has become a huge problem. Just recently there was a march that took place where students took a stand and shared what they thought should be done. Actions like these should help people realized how bad these problems are getting and that the more support there is the more chance we have of fixing these problems.

  1. This whole gun situation with high school shootings is just way too much. I feel like there needs to be a law reversing the open carry law. Its hard to say but creo que that this is karma. I believe that God has mysterious ways to stop certain negative situations.

  2. Gun control needs to be established. High school shootings are becoming more and more common to the point where everyone wonders who's next.
