Students everywhere have been marching for their lives. They want to end school shootings for good. After the Florida Highschool Shooting, teenagers everywhere have been protesting the NRA and want to regulate gun control. “Teenagers are normally looked down upon when talking about politics, no one cares what we have to say,” many teens have thought this for a long time, but it’s really empowering, especially for a teenager myself to see so many teens standing up for what’s right.
This relates back to U.S. history because of the Civil Rights Movement. People everywhere would not stay silent and they would stand up for what they believe in, just like these brave teenagers. Some of the protests I’m thinking of are those for women’s rights, African American rights, desegregation, LGBT rights and so many more. I think this is very empowering and amazing that these teens have spoken loud for what is right!
