Storms in Kentucky and Arkansas - Lauren Rothert

On Saturday, four lives were claimed by severe storms in the South and Central United States. The National Weather Service confirmed three tornadoes hit Kentucky, and caused the death of three people. The first victim was 79 and died after a piece of flying debris struck her in her southwestern Kentucky home. Another victim was found dead after his car was submerged in a creek. Similarly, another man was found dead in a car submerged in a ditch filled with storm water. The last victim died in Knobel, Arkansas (83 year old Albert Foster) when his trailer home was blown away by storms. Ohio governor issued an emergency declaration for 17 counties along the Ohio River and Southern Ohio.

Weather is so unpredictable, and lately it seems like we are having a harder time recovering from these tragedies. I hope the citizens of Kentucky, Arkansas, and Ohio are able to rebuild and rejuvenate quickly. I also hope the weather gets to a controllable level in the warned areas.

  1. I am honestly so over the unpredictable weather that is causing panic in almost every state. Even in Dallas lately, the weather has been horrible.

  2. I don't understand why the weather has been so unpredictable. It makes for a terrible surprise when it occurs. Hope it begins to even out.
