During a "black history meal", the menu items were largely stereotypical and insensitive. A student inquired the choice of the insensitive items only to be dismissed. Later, however it was acknowledged that it was insensitive and the menu planner was fired.

This can relate to blackface in late 19th century entertainment, with stereotypes playing a large role in how they were performed.

  1. Its terrible that someone would create a menu like that. black-history month is supposed to be a time of honor and pride, not negativity.
