Allison Majors 2/25

Natural disasters, including tornadoes and floods have led to the death of 5 people in the central US. Bad storms and tornadoes are continuing to move eastward. One person was found floating around in a flood, and another person was found beneath her collapsed home that was supposedly struck by a tornado. Mississippi County, Arkansas, was struck by a tornado, but luckily everyone is reaching out to one another and helping those suffering. Missouri is also expecting a lot of floods, but they have announced that state resources are available in the event of a natural disaster.

It makes me happy to know that citizens are being friendly to strangers that they have never met before and that they are not being selfish with themselves. Tornados do very devastating damage and its very hard to recover from them without help from others. It is also good that Missouri has back-up resources ready for when/if the worst comes. Part of the reason why the Great Depression was so terrible was that they did not have “back-up resources” available for when the crisis came upon them.

  1. That makes me so sad, I hope the midwest can overcome these tornadoes and floods and rebuild stronger.

  2. This is so sad. No one should have to experience this. I hope they can work together and get through that.
