Oklahoma Gas Explosion Leaves Five Missing - Taylor Townsend

Five oil rig workers have went missing after and explosion in a gas well in Oklahoma. The other seventeen workers were rescued and taken to safety after the explosion but there has been no sign of the five other employees. One employee was flown to a hospital in Tulsa by helicopter. The other sixteen workers had minor to no injuries.

A call was reported to emergency responders around 8:45 a.m. Emergency workers are working with rig operators to get the gas well shut and contained. Kevin Eloe told interviewers they're letting the fire run its course. It is still unclear if the workers were drilling for oil or natural gas.

this is a perfect example of the dangers of working in the oil industry. The missing workers could have been blown into pieces. I hope their families, if they had any, are okay.
