Summary- Virginia's senate passed a bill Monday that would force death-row prisoners into the electric chair if leather injection drugs are unavailable. The spokesman for Gov. Terry McAuliffe, a democrat, would not say if he plans to sign the bill into law. Because of the amendment, the bill has to go back to the House for final approval before it goes to the Governors desk.
Analysis- Virginia is one of 6 states in the United States that allows execution by electric chair which is a very small amount. Personally I believe that death is not a necessary punishment and i feel that there is more than death that can be done to help a person. The fact that someone has to chose there way to die is horrifying for me. The reason that they want to vote for this is because "there is no humane way to kill another human being but it is our opinion that electrocution is worse than lethal ejection." Death sentence has been around for a long time and people are becoming more and more aware of it and its horribleness which is a good thing.

Death sentences are not really for another person to give, i believe. Please update us on whether the bill is passed.

There is a fact out there that shows that one lethal injection costs more than a lifetime in jail. This speaks volumes about the mindset behind this idea.
