Summary: Recent charges against 138 suspects have brought the number of arrests in a Houston sex trafficking crackdown to more than 400, authorities said Monday.KHOU-TV said police and the Harris County sheriff's and distinct attorney's office had conducted "Operation Traveling Circus" to identify victims of forced prostitution and related crimes. Customers, as well as traffickers, were arrested. Photographs of people suspected of soliciting prostitution were displayed at a news conference Monday, KTRK-TV said. But officials also announced a policy shift: Pictures of people suspected of working as prostitutes will not be released because many of them are believed to be victims of the illegal sex industry. The joint operation against sex trafficking began in early January. KTRK said authorities warned that similar efforts will continue and will target increases in trafficking that are expected to be driven by major sports events coming to the Houston area over the next year, including next month’s NCAA Final Four.
Analysis: I cannot believe this is happening in today's society. This can relate back to when the southern states were treating people like things and slavery was the biggest conflict. Even though this kind of slavery isn't between difference of race, it is still between difference of sex and HAS to be stopped. I am so glad that the police department took care of it.

this is tragic. I pray that all of these victims will find refuge and healing as soon as possible. What a terribly inhumane, animalistic thing to do to someone. Sex trafficking is appalling and the amount of it that still goes on today is sickening.
