Nations Sign Historic Climate Change Agreement by M'Lynn Musgrove

After many failed attempts at a agreement, over 200 nations signed off on making an attempt to reduce the burning of fossil fuels. This could potentially slow the process of global warming. This has a huge effect on the United States as we are one of the largest fossil fuel consumers in the world. Despite this, it is important that we not only get large countries on board, but all countries. It is a group effort. We will only see a change if we have world participation.

I think this is an amazing thing that is happening. Because the US is considered a great power and we are one of the most technologically advanced countries, our pollution foot print is growing every day. With time, machines and devices will begin to spread into all places in the world so it is good to get a head start on the process now.

  1. I hope this results in a healthier planet! I imagine that ever since the industrial revolution, America has become one of the most polluted nations in the world. We have to make this planet safe for its future inhabitants.
