"Bill Cosby Sues 7 of His Accusers" by Jack Higgins period 6

Regardless of wether or not he actually did it, Cosby made a smart move (probably under the advisement of his attorney[s]) in suing many of those who have recently come forth accusing him of sexual assault for defamation of character, which could be intelligent (especially if guilty) by pushing those characters back a step and repositioning them so that they'd simply be looking for a way out of the situation, rather than continue pushing for more money out of Cosby himself or perhaps his incarceration. Those kind of things seem to happen less when the defendant becomes the accuser himself and files a countersuit (although I may very well be wrong, I have no statistics that show that).

Things have not been recently going very well for Bill Cosby, and perhaps rightfully so. Those heavy accusations have resulted in several television and movie projects supposed to be starring Cosby being delayed or completely cancelled, his honorary degrees from Boston University, Fordham University, Marquette University, and Brown University being revoked, and his relationship with his family being heavily damaged.

Hopefully justice prevails in this situation with whomever the persons in the right and in the wrong are.

  1. If he really thought this would make a difference they would have to find a solid piece of evidence to prove his innocence, if not then it's ultimately useless. I personally think that when being accused of raping by least seven women you should probably be worrying more about defending yourself instead of opening up another thing they could debate. Also, when being accused of multiple rape instances your image is already ruined, what does it matter if you get some money off of it. In the years that some of these women described their encounter there were lots of drugs and smoking (and other stuff along those lines), so there's a large chance that he did do some of the things he is accused of.

  2. There should be a given clue when the same accusation is made against the same person by multiple different people. It is a shame that he thinks he can lessen his punishment by using his fame to his advantage.
