Mohamed Elshinawy from Maryland has been accused of receiving $9,000 to help aid a terrorist attack in the United States. Mohamed was arrested Friday and charged with an attempted to provide material support to a designated foreign terrorist organization, obstruction of an investigation, and giving false statements.
The FBI filed a criminal complaint stating that Elshinawy received about $8,700 from people overseas whom he believed were connected to ISIS. The money came from Western Union and Paypal accounts.
This man can be compared to Benedict Arnold. Benedict Arnold originally fought for the American Continental Army but switched over to the British Army. Benedict Arnold is infamous for being a traitor to America. Just like Mohamed Elshinawy is now.
