On March 14, 2019, large group s of students around the world gathered to take a stand agains climate change. They see that their government is not going to do anything about it so they put matters into their own hands. They skipped school and protested to try to get their voices heard.
I think this is a great way to show the government what is happening and to remind them that can not just sit back and ignore the dangers of climate change. These student were very brave and outspoken and I commend them for standing up for what they believe in.
This reminded me of the teenage protesters from the civil rights era. High school and college aged people were a big part of the movement . They did not let their age hold them back and demanded their voice be heard.
