Family members celebrate birthday of late 'Queen of Soul'
The family of Aretha Franklin celebrated on would have been Aretha's 77 birthday. They had a memorial service and screening of a documentary film. The service was held in Detroit at the Woodlawn Cemetery. The Queen of soul died last year from pancreatic cancer and was laid to rest not too far from Woodlawn's chapel.
Analysis: This article was written on March 25,2019. The writers purpose of this article was to bring remembrance of the late Aretha Franklin. I think it it so good that they played tribute to such a wonderful person and was able to celebrate her life. This article relates to history because many other stars such as Micheal Jackson had documentaries and celebrations after his death. It is important to remember the good times even though they are not with us.
