Mali villagers killed by Gunmen-- By Diya Ghayal

Summary: Earlier in the weekend, on Saturday, gunmen surrounded a village in central Mali, before attacking people in their homes. Over 100 civilians were killed in this massacre. The attack was targeted towards members/people in the Fulani ethnic community. The victims were killed with weaponry such as: guns and machetes. Currently, officials from the UN are visiting Mali, addressing these uprisings and violent issues that are because of increasing hatred towards certain ethnicities.

Analysis: This article was written yesterday, on Saturday, March 23rd, 2019, which was the same day that this horrible event occurred. This portrays that the information is mainly up to date. The target audience of this article is the whole world, or even people of the same ethnicity as the victims of this massacre. It was written to keep us informed of such violent uprisings that are occurring around the world. It is truly horrible that some people are injured, or even worse, killed, because of who or where they worship and because of the culture that they believe in.
