Sidney Aiello . a student who was enrolled at the Parkland,Florida school and survived the 2018 massacre at the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School , took her own life after suffering from Survivor's guilt and post - traumatic stress disorder . The funeral later took place on Friday. Seventeen people , fourteen students and three staff members , were killed when a gunman opened fire at the High School on February 14, 2018. The shooter was then convicted of 17 counts of murder.

This was very heartbreaking , the amount of Trauma that can live in some of the victims is terrifying. Action hasn't even been taken after so many massacres in the US. This relates to how action needs to be taken in Congress for gun control. This article is for anyone to be informed and alert of the terrible effects that gun violence has on victims mental health and even families.
