The article I chose is about The Supreme Court that may treat the three great laws of the civil rights movement as outdated "racial entitlements" that need to be put back in their place. Some experts envision a dreaded future for these landmark laws now that Justice Brett Kavanaugh has joined the Supreme Coutr. The judges are groomed to dismantle the legal legacy of these laws which have stood for 50 years. "Few ralize these laws came about only because of a brutal struggle." "The standard looks not at the racial intent but the racial impact of a policy. "

I think that this whole situatuon and idea just links back to the Civil Rights Movements. Also the Civil Rights Act of 1964 which ended segregation in public places and banned employement discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, sex or national origin. It's just something to think about that the Supreme Court can reverse the things that this act and many other have done to end segregation.

  1. Emma Burkey: We have been moving backwards for a while, but this is truly a massive step in the wrong direction. It is extremely concerning that Kavanaugh now has power in the Supreme Court and can influence this major decision.
