On Friday night, the White House announced that President Trump had signed a measure that would officially end the Longest government shutdown in history. This is meant to last through February 15. This event however does not mean that Trump is no longer requesting $5.7 billion to make his wall.
This can be compared to the treaties signed by generals to end wars and restore order to the US.

It's about time, so many employees were working without pay because of this shutdown.
