Summary- Whilst drama has been swarming around the question of Russian influence in the past election, Kentucky senator Mitch McConnell made know his thoughts saying “The Russians are not our friends”. The article goes on about the internal conflict within the republican party specifically over thoughts on Russia. Within the article it also outlines the potential conflict of interests with president elect Donald Trump.

Analysis- I think that this refusal to comply with the republican party over this issue really does not help Donald Trump, specifically when there is speculation regarding the legitimacy of the election. This inner turmoil within the party has made for a rocky start with the Trump administration, and I don't think that is a great thing for Trump because he will not be able  to get anything done without being backed up by some one on capitol hill, and those people who would support him would be the republicans he is  butting heads with now. Just an observation.
