Hannah Howell- Bana Alabed's Mom Tells Of Life In Aleppo

Summary: An article released on December 11th portrays the life of one family in Syria and how they show the world world how they are living. Mother of 3, Fatemah Alabed tweets updates of her family and what's going on where they live. There is constant war and bombing 24/7 in Aleppo. The Twitter account is under her daughter, Bana's, name and has many striking and provoking videos and Tweets. It has gained a very large following of people concerned for them. In a recent interview over Skype, the mother explains their lack of food due to lack of resources and how they can't even leave their house safely. She tries to give her kids the best life she can, but there's only so much you can do when there are bombs exploding outside of your house.

Analysis: My heart goes out to this poor family. I cannot imagine the fear they have. They are so strong to keep on going like this. I hope that the fighting ends soon so Fatemah and her children can live happy, peaceful lives.

  1. It's sad that they have to struggle through that unfortunate situation. I'm glad thought that they are updating people and helping create awareness.

  2. Such a tragic experience they are going through and to think they have the strength to report on the war they are caught in makes them warriors too. Hopefully they can stay safe until the fighting comes to an end.
