While not current this case came under light again because of a segment done by CNN. They recapped the case of JonBenet, the pageant star's, murder. It was during the holidays when JonBenet Ramsey was found dead in her families basement. She had been kidnapped the day earlier but after search after search with no avail, the lead detective told John Ramsey to check the premises. He went into their underground room and discovered a dead raped ducktaped beauty pageant contestant. After a short court case light was brought against the family but they were not convicted. Years later dna evidence proved the family not guilty. To this day no-one knows who committed this horrid act.
Why would someone ever do this? Who in their right fucking mind want to do this to a child? I'm done with this one.

This is such a sad cold case. I agree that you have to be pretty sick to do this to a child. So sad.
