Brooks Norton 4th Period

A new medical test tries to determine which women who have been diagnosed with breast cancer can skip chemotherapy after having surgery. When a person has cancer, after the surgery they're generally given chemotherapy to ensure that the cancer doesn't come back. However, for some people this treatment is unnecessary and is more likely to hurt them. This test determines which people will benefit from chemo.
This is hugely important because it can save people's lives. Throughout history one of man's main enemies has been disease. For example, in the early 1900s thousands of people in the US died of the Spanish flu. Each time we discover a way to fight disease we are taking a huge step. This will definitely impact a lot of people's lives.
