Amaya Avila 8pd. SuperMoon Lunar Eclipse

On September 27, 2015, the Super Moon Lunar eclipse occurred at 10:00 P.M.. It is the last of the "Blood Moon" Cycles for the next twenty to thirty years. This lunar eclipse is the second of the year of 2015. It is very different from previous lunar eclipse because it is a perigree, meaning that the moon is the closest in distance to our planet, Earth.

I think it is important for people to be aware of the events going on in nature. Becoming a well-knowing human can lead to many possibilities in the world and especially in America. Observing your surroundings and living in the moment is very important in this current society with the consistent obsession with technology and social media, it is important to stop for a moment and actually live and remember what is going on around you.

  1. I agree that becoming a well-knowing human being can lead to more for people. It's amazing that our generation gets to experience events like this. It also amazes me how far science has come since our parents were children. The fact that they're able to predict when the next "blood moon" will be, blows my mind.

  2. I saw it last night, it was super cool! I agree with you on SO many levels about our culture being too absorbed in technology and stuff that we forget about how beautiful nature can be. And if anyone missed it, the next harvest/blood/super moon eclipse will happen in 2033 :)
