KJ Dell'Antonia talks about a discussion she had with her tween about Bruce Jenner and then went on to discuss about how knowledge of trans people has changed over the years. While we still have not reached total acceptance most people know a lot more than they used too. Like all other form of civil rights, education on the plight of the suffering people is the first step. The same way civil rights and feminists leaders started by educating people, people like Bruce Jenner and Janet Mock are working to help people understand, so others like them can be safer in their environment. I support Bruce since he knew she would face a lot of criticism but was still willing to do it for the good of her community.
