Baltimore- Alex Norton 4th Period

If you've been keeping up with the news, you would have seen the riots following Freddie Gray's death in Baltimore. Gray died in the custody of the Baltimore police department and no one is positive what happened. He was injured while he was in the police van and the whole thing is under heavy investigation. Things are looking like Ferguson Pt. 2.
This could easily be tied to the civil rights movement in the 1960's. Even though African Americans had been freed from slavery in the late 19th century, they still had to fight for basic rights and equality through the 1960's and it seems like the fight isn't over.

  1. Not only does this resemble Ferguson, but is also similar to the Watts riots in LA during the 60's.
