5 Still Missing After Storm - Hannah Kalan 6th Period

This Saturday, in Mobile Bay, Alabama, several boats were capsized when a large storm blew in. So far, the coast guard, along with 100 volunteer search party vessels, have found two bodies, with an approximated five still missing. The search party covered over 2500 miles, with the help of two aircraft in search of the missing people.
I think that it's awful how people can get caught up in a storm like that and end up so far away from their original positions due to ocean currents. Hopefully situations like this won't happen in the future and technology will allow us to communicate with those out on the water in time to keep them from getting lost at sea.

  1. I agree. Maybe in the near future there will be an invention invented in order to ensure safety so things like this don't happen, but in the meantime, I hope they find the missing bodies.

  3. This is so sad! I hope they find the those that are missing. I agree, it would be nice if they could create something that allowed for those out at sea to communicate with others when things go bad.

  5. Hopefully not only technology help prevent this in the future, but it will also help us find people when disasters do strike and they are caught in it.
