Teen lovers finally caught by Madeline Ibarra

A couple of teens, ages 18 and 13, were arrested in Florida on Sunday. They had been on the run for about two weeks after they left Kentucky. The couple was found asleep in a stolen vehicle when they woke up, surrounded by law enforcements. During their run, they managed to steal three cars, two which were full of guns. the teens were said to be extremely violent when confronted by others and always on the move. The couple is being taken back to Kentucky where they will face multiple felony charges.

When reading this article, I was thinking this would be a love story about a couple of teens who were running away from everything. But no, its much more. I was amazed by how far this young couple got and for what reason but sometimes, people don't have any particular reason for doing anything. The charges placed on the two will be extremely different because the male will be charged as an adult as for the girl who is still a minor. Most of the blame will most likely be placed on the male, but they will both suffer consequences of the deeps done. The article wasn't very clear as to why this event sparked in the first place, but we know that they are back where they belong and off the streets, roaming.

  1. This is really odd! By your title, I was thinking the same thing: that it would be about lovers who ran away to be together....but this is a whole different story. I would love to hear more on this story and see if their motives are ever discovered.

  2. I heard about this the other day from a friend who lives in Kentucky and it's so odd. It's really scary that they were able to do so much in so little time.

  3. The vicious collaboration amongst these two teens is really concerning, considering how long they were able to continue their illicit crimes before being caught by officials. What could have possibly driven them to become felons? What is the purpose of doing such awful things, when one will have to face the repercussions eventually.

  4. There are so many unanswered questions in regards to this event. Why did the teens run away to begin with? Why did they commit such crimes? I hope that all this is brought to light.

  5. I think its strange that people are not discussing the age difference between these two. It seems clear to me that he was taking advantage of her youth and her impressionable nature.

  6. I think that Hollywood has made it seem that it is romantic for teenagers to run away and be in love. Although it does happen, it is very rare. And the age difference too! There is something about this that is not right, and people should start thinking situations through before executing them.
