Go Home. Stay there. Kalena Rodriguez p5

It has been predicted that this blizzard hitting the northeast is historic; one for the books.
Massachusetts governor has said: "The best thing anybody can do is stay inside."
Government officials across the northeast have given there residents the best advice since Monday morning.. Of going home and staying there. This storm is one that can turn into a blizzard of historic proportions. "It is no joke to have people stranded on a highway. We've gone through that before," New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo told reporters. All forms of transportation will be limited and even shut down. Roads have already become very dangerous and only emergency vehicles can make use of them. National weather services are never ones to be exaggerated and they have even said the storm is "historic" and "life-threatening".

Like past weather hazards, our government officials have access to advanced weather instruments that an predict these conditions. Perhaps the dust bowl, other blizzards, earthquakes, and tornadoes have put our citizens in danger. The government has the power and resources to reach out to the people and shut down public services that will put them in danger.

  1. I believe that they are taking the right precautions in this situation. It will save a lot of time and money for the nation, not to mention lower the number of accidents. This affects me because my sister is in New York right now, her school was cancelled so she doesn't have to go out. It is reassuring for my family knowing that she is safe.

  2. Going about situations trying to make the best possible decisions is tough. Finding a way to save time and money and lower the number of accidents by not canceling a lot of daily events such as school, work, etc. This precaution taken should be successful with keeping more people safe.
