Obama has recently assessed the ISIS threat as being stronger than initially thought. Just a little more than a week ago US air strikes were being carried out on Syria. ISIS reacted to this mission much like agitated fire ants, emerging in large numbers with weapons that do a lot more than sting. Obama addressed the Nation in a 60 minute interview saying that "ISIS are remnants of Al- Qaeda in Iraq" but even more aggressive. To take control of this situation, Obama has been rallying various leaders from the United Nations and other allies. He has been successful in gaining support from Five Arab Nations. Although no official talk about the possibly of there being a WWIII, one can put together the pieces of what starts a world war.
