Intruder into the white house By: Sharon cordon 4th period

Omar Gonzales, 42 year old iraq war veteran jumped over the White House fence and actually made it farther than just into the east room of the white house. The secret Service had previously stated that he was stopped after entering the front door of the North Portico.
He was mainly in the first floor, ran past a stairway that lead up to the first family's residence and was ultimately stopped at the far southern end of the east room and reached the doorway to the green room.
i believe this really dangerous, if he could get in easily, then that means anyone could get in easily as well. everything seems really suspicious as well. i personally think he had the help from a guard to get in otherwise he should've been caught earlier.

  1. It is really dangerous, not just that he got in easily, but that he put himself in danger. Nobody knows if the secret service could have been more violent with handling the situation. -Avery Alexander

  2. This is a scary thought, that a 'top-security' area has been infiltrated so easily and effectively.. Anyone could get further, I'm sure, and stir up a lot of trouble. Hopefully the White House and associates will take into consideration the harmful effects and dangerous prospects that this could hold.

  3. The fact that he got in so easily is so scary because it has top security. It makes me wonder how easy it is for someone determined to just casually get into a house uninvited. - Jessica Sheinfeld
